Created in 1923 by the Québec Automobile Dealers Association, which would later become the Québec Regional Automobile Dealers Corporation (CCARQ), L’International de l’Auto de Québec enjoyed great success right from the start.
It was in 1985, after acquiring the rights to the event’s name, that the Québec Regional Automobile Dealers Corporation (CCARQ) became the main driving force behind L’International de l’Auto de Québec.
From 1985 to 1997 inclusively, L’International de l’Auto de Québec was held at Université Laval’s PEPS. However, as soon as the official announcement of the construction of the Centre de foires de Québec was made, the CCARQ set up shop there and since 1998, L’International de l’Auto de Québec has been held at Centre de foires de Québec.
